I'm about to tell you all a secret, it's really shocking. Are you ready?

I'm so short, you guys. So short and so stout. I'm solid and I'm grounded and when I hit someone, they stay hit!

But I'm not one of nature's speed demons. One of the big hurdles for me in roller derby is learning to go fast. But before I could learn to go fast, I had to just learn to go. You spend 30 some odd years learning to move forward and then you strap tonka trucks to your feet and everything you know goes out the window!
