A lot of people don't know that I've had this website since high school. I was originally going to write a magical girl manga style comic that was to be drawn by my very good friend. We were the main characters in the comic and the comic sort of took place in our own lives, but with us as magical girls. ^_^; Thus why I called it A World Like My Own. My good friend Chris kept the website for me, even though we never drew more than a couple comics for it... and when I felt the urge to start my reality comic, AWLMO was here, waiting for me. ^_^

This sketch is the original character sketch for my character, Yokumi-chan (which is what my friends often called me in high school). And... that's a pretty accurate depiction of high school Arie. ^_^ Drawn, of course, by the lovely and talented Sumire-chan. <3
