Enter Miki, a good friend of mine who flew into town to visit me the very day Matt broke my computer. I actually do him far too little credit in this strip, the poor guy worked his butt off for three days trying to fix this little situation. Eventually we had to back the important data onto a second hard drive, wipe the first, and install the yucky, yucky XP. But after much hysteria, I have a happy dual boot set up, so Anna can have ease-of-use, Matt can have games, and I can have Slackware.
